Three miRNAs, miR-199a-3p, miR-127-3p, and miR-376c, were significantly decreased in osteosarcoma cell lines, whereas miR-151-3p and miR-191 were increased in osteosarcoma cell lines in comparison with osteoblasts.
Taken together, these findings will shed light on the role and mechanism of miR-376c in regulating osteosarcoma cell growth via miR-376c/TGFA axis, and miR-376c may serve as a potential therapeutic target in osteosarcoma in the future.
Here, we show that miR-376c, a well-characterized tumor suppressor which inhibits cell proliferation and invasion in osteosarcoma by targeting to transforming growth factor-alpha, suppresses osteoblast proliferation, and differentiation.
