The results in this meta-analysis suggest no association between the MSA2756G polymorphism and lymphoma risk; however, the GG homozygous and G alleles could decrease the lymphoma risk in Caucasians.
Herein we performed a case-control study evaluating the influence of three single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in XPA, ERCC5 and MTR [rs1800975 (G-4A), rs17655 (Asp1104His) and rs1805087 (A2756G), respectively] in lymphoma risk.
We have previously reported associations between lymphoma risk and germline polymorphisms in genes of methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR C677T and A1298C) and methionine synthase (MTRA2756G), finding the genotype other than the MTHFR 677CC/1298AA to confer a half-risk compared to the MTHFR 677CC/1298AA and a 3-fold higher risk with the MTR GG genotype than the AA/AG genotypes.
