Our results seem to indicate that nm23 expression is associated with a significantly worse prognosis in early-stage, well-differentiated epithelial ovarian carcinoma, a finding with important clinical implications, considering that many patients with ovarian cancers showing these features do not undergo any further treatment beyond surgical staging.
