Following data mining in multiple big data databases confirmed a positive correlation between SOX10 mRNA expression and NES mRNA expression in breast cancer tissues.
In this cohort, Sox10 labeling was seen in 3 metastatic breast carcinomas (12%), all of which were grade III, triple-negative ductal carcinomas metastatic to the brain (n=2) or lung (n=1).
Sox10 is also expressed in variable solid tumors such as breast cancer, salivary tumor, hepatocellular carcinoma, ovarian tumor, nasopharyngeal carcinoma, prostate cancer, and digestive cancer.
Using a case-cohort design, we studied the effects of the A2 allele on endogenous sex hormone levels and breast cancer risk within a large population-based cohort (n = 9,349) in the Netherlands (the DOM-cohort).
The effect of the three polymorphisms on breast cancer risk was studied using a case-cohort design nested within a large population-based cohort study (n = 9349) in the Netherlands (the DOM-cohort).
We assessed heritability in 466 sister-, 25 dizygotic twin- and 26 monozygotic twin-pairs participating in a population-based breast cancer screening program; the DOM project (Diagnostic Investigation Mamma Carcinoma).
