To examine the role of the Gln27Glu polymorphism of β2-AR in HF development and to assess the hypothesis that Gln27Glu is associated with coronary artery disease in patients with ischaemic HF.
Our data did not support a relationship between the three polymorphisms of ADRB1 (rs1801253) and ADRB2 (rs1042713 and rs1042714) genes and risk of subsequent cardiovascular events after PCI in Han Chinese patients with CAD.
beta1AR (Ser49Gly, Arg389Gly) and beta2AR (Gly16Arg, Gln27Glu) SNPs were genotyped in a case-control study comparing 107 patients with CAD and aborted SCD due to VA with 287 CAD control subjects and 101 healthy control subjects.
To assess the relationship between 46A>G and 79C>G polymorphisms of the ADRB2 gene and CAD as well as the associations between these polymorphic variants and traditional risk factors, e.g. cigarette smoking, hypercholesterolaemia, hypertension and overweight or obesity, in determining the risk of CAD.
