The results showed that C to T variation in the ERCC1 rs11615 (C/T) polymorphisms was correlated with breast cancer susceptibility (T vs C: OR = 1.19, 95% CI = 1.02-1.38; TT + CT vs CC: OR = 1.24, 95% CI = 1.12-1.36).
Our results suggest that the <i>ERCC1</i> rs11615 polymorphism is associated with breast cancer susceptibility, and in particular, this increased risk of breast cancer existence in Asian population.
Gene-gene interaction analysis showed that subjects carrying ERCC1 rs11615 C allele and XPG/ERCC5 rs17655 G allele had a greatly increased risk of breast cancer.
