We demonstrate that RARalpha-PLZF can interfere with PLZF transcriptional repression and that this is critical for APL pathogenesis, since leukemias in PLZF(-/-)/PLZF-RARalpha mutants and in PLZF-RARalpha/RARalpha-PLZF TM are indistinguishable.
