Recently, we reported that the prokineticin 2 receptor gene (PROKR2) was associated with mood disorders including major depressive disorder and bipolar disorder in the Japanese population.
Many studies including our previous ones as to PROKR2 and CLOCK have suggested that circadian genes may be involved in the mechanisms of mood disorders and their treatment responses.
