Our findings suggest that EA treatment at ST36 may ameliorate inflammation associated with DNFB-induced ACD via triggering local IL-10 production and inhibiting p38 MAPK activation, which provide an alternative and promising therapy for ACD.
These findings indicate that miR-21-mediated inhibition of MC degranulation is involved in the anti-ACD effect of berberine via inhibiting p38 pathway, which provide a new insight into the immunopharmacological role of berberine and suggest its potential application for the treatment of allergic inflammation, such as ACD.
EA treatment inhibited ear swelling, suppressed IgE and cytokine production, decreased the number of mast cells and curbed mast cell degranulation, which was associated with the inhibition of p38 phosphorylation in DNFB-induced ACD.
