The aim of this study was to explore whether HMGB1 stimulation can up-regulate the expression of Toll-like Receptor 2 (TLR2) and Toll-like Receptor 4 (TLR4) on macrophages from pulpitis and to clarify the subsequent events involving Th17 cells and Th17 cell-associated cytokine changes.
The findings demonstrated the anti-inflammation and pro-osteogenesis effect of let-7c-5p during the attack of pulpitis, which depended on the inhibition of HMGA2/PI3K/Akt signalling.

The aim of this study was to examine whether RAGE and HMGB1 are involved in the pathogenesis of pulpitis and investigate the effect of Prevotella intermedia (P. intermedia) lipopolysaccharide (LPS) on RAGE and HMGB1 expression in odontoblast-like cells (OLC-1).
Immunohistochemical staining of infected human dental pulp and tissue from experimental dental pulpitis in rats showed that Wnt5a levels were increased.
To verify whether experimentally induced pulpitis activates the expression of transient receptor potential vanilloid type 1 (TRPV1) and c-Fos, both peripherally and centrally.
Evidence in this study suggested that BBR mediates LPS induced inflammation in HDPF via miR-21/KBTBD7 axis to regulate NF-κB signal pathway, which may provide theoretical basis for BBR in prevention of pulpitis.
Expression levels of GATA4 and γ-H2A.X (a marker for DSBs) were detected at different stages of pulpitis in a rat model and human pulp tissues by immunohistochemistry.
The present study demonstrated that MMP9 expression in pulp tissues, blood and saliva from children with pulpitis and Hp infection in the stomach was upregulated, while miR-204 expression was downregulated. miR-204 may affect inflammatory processes and other oral diseases in children with pulpitis and Hp infection via MMP9, and may be a potential marker for the detection of Hp infection in children with pulpitis.

The objective of this study is to evaluate MMP-14 expression in odontoblasts and in the bulk of dental pulp of teeth with pulpitis; to determine the expression of microRNA-410 (miR-410) in pulp tissue, since sequence analysis suggests that miR-410 has potential binding site on MMP-14's 3'UTR, and hence, can regulate expression of the latter one.
