After the analysis of the levels of pro and anti-inflammatory markers (IL-1β, IL-4, IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, Il-15, TNF-α, CRP, α1-GP) in the tonsils, we observed higher levels of markers IL-8 and IL-10 in pediatric patients with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome.
Here we evaluate oxidative stress markers (TBARS, AOPP, SOD), proinflammatory cytokines (TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6, IL-8), anti-inflammatory cytokines (IL-4, IL-10), and cell-free DNA levels before and after 8-week CPAP treatment or moderate-intensity aerobic training in moderate to severe OSA.
Concentrations of tau, Aβ40, Aβ42, c-reactive protein (CRP), TNF-α, interleukin (IL)-6, and IL-10 were measured in blood and compared between participants with moderate-severe OSA (n = 28), those with mild OSA (n = 22), and healthy controls (n = 24).
Compared with non-OSA children, the levels of CD4<sup>+</sup> T cells, IFN-γ, and IL-4 were increased (P < 0.05) whereas the numbers of CD4<sup>+</sup> CD25<sup>+</sup> Treg and NKT cells and the levels of IL-10 were reduced (P < 0.05).
