By using qRT-PCR analysis to compare levels of miR-25 in ESCC tissues with or without lymph node metastasis (LNM), it showed that ESCC tissues with LNM had increased levels of miR-25, which was correlated with tumor metastasis and poor prognosis.
Patients with high expression of miR-25 in CCA tissues had a comparatively higher tumor-nodes-metastasis stage (P=0.026), a higher rate of lymph node metastasis (P=0.032) and a shorter overall survival rate (log-rank P=0.022). miR-25 was determined to be an independent prognostic factor for CCA patients (P=0.036).
In this study, we demonstrated that miR-25 was significantly downregulated in osteosarcoma cell lines and tissues and that lower miR-25 was associated with advanced tumor-node-metastasis stage and lymph node metastasis.
Here, we show that miR-25 was overexpressed in plasma and primary tumor tissues of GC patients with tumor node metastasis stage (III or IV) or lymph node metastasis.
The high expression of miR-20a, miR-25, miR-93, miR-103, miR-106a, miR-106b, miR-130 was associated with lymph node metastasis (P < 0.05), and high expression of miR-155 was related to tumor penetration through serosa and lymph node metastasis (P < 0.05).
Moreover, we demonstrated that the up-regulation of miR-25 was significantly correlated with the status of lymph node metastasis and TNM (Tumor, Node and Metastasis) stage.
