Compared to PBS-treated EAC mice, the mice treated with aprepitant exhibited higher pain threshold values, less number of total urine spots or small urine spots, lower bladder weight to body weight ratio, and reduced bladder inflammation with less mast cell infiltration and decreased expressions of IL-1β, TNF-α, and ICAM-1 in bladder tissue.
In addition, increased levels of neurotrophic factors and interleukin (IL)-10 were observed in the NSC transplantation side when compared with the PBS-treated hemispheres, although lower levels of IL-6 and tumor necrosis factor-α were detected.
RT-PCR results showed that the IL-35-treated mice had lower levels of VEGF, Flt-1, Flk-1, and TNF-α mRNA expression than those of the PBS-treated mice.
