Genotyping for MTHFR C677T and eNOS 894G > T polymorphisms was carried out in 69 patients with probable diagnosis of AD and anamnestic mild cognitive impairment, matched for age and gender with 69 healthy volunteers.
To analyse the correlation between the ApoE and methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) C677T polymorphism and plasma homocysteine levels and vitamins (B(12) and folic acid) concentrations in serum from patients with AD and mild cognitive impairment (MCI) as compared with control group.
In Xinjiang Uygur subjects, the A1298C polymorphisms in MTHFR and the A2756G polymorphisms in the MS gene in the MCI group were different from those in the control group.
