The expression of miR-198-5p was associated with the age, blood vessel invasion, Tumor-Node-Metastasis stage, and lymph node metastasis of patients with LUAD and served as an independent prognostic factor for survival.
Results showed that miR-198-5p was under-expressed in NSCLC tissues and was negatively correlated with tumour size, lymph node metastasis and tumour-node-metastasis stage, while FUT8 expression was highly upregulated.
Using quantitative polymerase chain reaction analysis, we demonstrated in the present study that miR-198 was downregulated in breast cancer tissues and cell lines, and that downregulation of miR-198 was significantly correlated with lymph node metastasis.
