Genome-wide association study (GWAS) provided a powerful tool for genome-wide level analysis to explore the genetic predisposition for uveitis and revealed several genes to be associated with uveitis including IL23R/C1orf141, STAT4 and ADO/ZNF365/EGR2.
In this study, the results suggested that the rs17375018 of IL23R was positively associated with HLA-B27-positive AS and that the rs17375018 GG of IL-23R was associated with AS concomitant with uveitis.
We investigated the association between IL23R gene single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and susceptibility to sarcoidosis, including the clinical manifestation of uveitis.
