<b>Objective:</b> AIP1 expression is downregulated in human atherosclerotic plaques and global deletion of AIP1 in mice exacerbates atherosclerosis in ApoE-KO mouse models.
Consistently, a global or vascular EC-specific deletion of DAB2IP in mice strongly enhances inflammatory responses and exacerbates atherosclerosis and graft arteriosclerosis progression in mouse models.
