In conclusion, this study discerned hub genes and pathways related to the development of Pa, and VCAN was identified as a novel biomarker for the diagnose and therapy of Pa.
Afterward, integrated analysis of these genes were performed, including gene ontology and pathway enrichment analysis, protein-protein interaction network construction, expression level evaluation in human organs, relevant miRNAs and TFs prediction, and prognosis values of hub genes in pancreatic carcinoma.
Six hub genes (<i>CCND1</i>, <i>MAPK8</i>, <i>VEGFA</i>, <i>FOS</i>, <i>CDH1</i>, and <i>HSP90AA1</i>), and specifically <i>CCND1</i>, <i>MAPK8</i>, and <i>VEGFA</i>, might be key MALAT1 target genes in PC.
