Additionally, ANGPTL2 levels in the serum of gastric cancer patients were compared with those of healthy individuals to evaluate the possibility of the protein as a predictive biomarker for gastric cancer.
ANGPTL2 expression was upregulated in GC tissues compared to normal gastric mucosa; and high ANGPTL2 expression was significantly associated with tumor progression, early recurrence (P = 0.003) and poor prognosis (P = 0.007).
Combined, these data demonstrate that Coronin3 can regulate GC invasion and metastasis through Arp2, and the combination of Coronin3 and Arp2 provides a potential marker for predicting GC prognosis.
