The purpose of this study was to evaluate the role of FDG PET/CT in staging of non-conjunctival origin ocular adnexal mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphomas (OAML).
Even for lymphomas with variable FDG avidity, such as extranodal mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma (MALT), contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CT), but not WB-MRI, is presently recommended, despite the high sensitivity of diffusion-weighted MRI and its ability to capture treatment response that has been reported in the literature.
The patient underwent whole-body F-FDG PET/CT and C-methionine PET/CT in order to complete the staging of dural mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma.
