It is being increasing realized that miRNAs have diametrically opposite roles in different cancers. miR-410 is context-dependently involved in positive and negative regulation of cancers. miR-410 negatively regulates BAK1, CETN3, and BRD7 to promote cancer.
The BRD7 expression was downregulated in the ovarian cancer tissues compared with normal (P < 0.05), high-grade serous cancer exhibited significantly decreased expression of BRD7 compared with low-grade (P < 0.01) serous cancer.
The interaction between miR-200c and BRD7 might have important roles in controlling growth of endometrial of cancer cells and suggest a novel target pathway for treatment of this cancer.
BRD7 is a deletion target in human cancer, suggesting that loss of BRD7 may provide an additional mechanism to antagonize p53 function in cancer cells.
