In conclusion, IL-10-producing B cells downregulate the proportion of Th1 and Th17 cells to alleviate inflammatory damage in the myocardium during VMC before the induction or the early phase of disease.
The interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) and interleukin-2 (IL-2) levels in VMC model group was higher than control group, and lower levels of IL-4 and IL-10 were identified.
Results indicated that andrographolide treatment reduced serum levels of TNF-α, hs-CRP and cTnl, increased the expression levels of IL-10 and STAT3 and reduced the expression levels of NF-κβ p65 and NF-κβ p50 and the phosphorylation levels of phosphoinositide 3-kinase (P13K) and AKT in the heart tissues of mice with VMC.
