Our results reveal a previously unrecognized HOXD-AS1-HOXD3-Integrin β3 regulatory axis involving in epigenetic and transcriptional regulation constitutes to CRC carcinogenesis and progression.
Herein, we evaluated the predictive potential of three germline single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in the integrin β3 gene (rs3809865, rs5918 and rs4642) to predict the risk of venous thromboembolism (VTE) in colorectal cancer (CRC) patients, which is one of the leading causes of death among cancer patients.
In conclusion, our results showed that both the ITGB1 rs17468 SNP and ITGB3rs2317676 SNP were associated with an increased risk of CRC, which suggests that these 2 SNPs might contribute to CRC risk in a Chinese population.
