This study aimed to probe into the associations among circular RNA ZFR (circ-ZFR), miR-130a/miR-107, and PTEN, and to investigate the regulatory mechanism of circ-ZFR‒miR-130a/miR-107‒PTEN axis in gastric cancer (GC).
Our findings provide a mechanism by which miR-107 regulates NF1 in GC, as well as highlight the importance of interaction between miR-107 and NF1 in GC development and progression.
Quantitative real-time PCR was used to analyze the expression of miR-107 and HIF-1α in 36 pairs of fresh gastric cancer and matched adjacent normal tissue specimens and the serum of these patients compared to age matched controls.
Therefore, the data reported here demonstrate that miR-107 is an important regulator in gastric cancer, which will contribute to a better understanding of the important mis-regulated miRNAs in gastric cancer.
However, it remains largely unclear as to how miR-107 exerts its function and modulates the malignant phenotypes of gastric cancer, because our understanding of miR-107 signalling pathways is limited.
