MTT, transwell chamber, flow cytometry assays demonstrated that up-regulation of miR-142-3p with mimic transfection significantly inhibited the proliferation, migration and promoted the apoptosis of NSCLC H1299 cells, and induced a G0/G1 phase arrest and S phase reduction.
In the current study, we investigated the regulatory role of microRNA-142-3p (miR-142-3p) in HMGB1-mediated autophagy of NSCLC cells and its impact on drug resistance of NSCLC in vitro and in vivo.
Our results demonstrate that miR-142-5p functions as a growth suppressive miRNA and plays an important role in inhibiting the tumorigenesis through targeting PIK3CA in non-small cell lung cancer.
Overexpression of miR-142-3p in NSCLC A549 cells suppressed expression of TGFβR1 mRNA and protein, while knockdown of endogenous miR-142-3p led to increased expression of TGFβR1.
