Sirtuin 7 (SIRT7) is an NAD+-dependent deacetylase that is involved in various biological processes, including ribosomal RNA synthesis and protein synthesis, DNA damage response, metabolism, and tumorigenesis.
Altogether, our results show that DBC1 is a downstream target of SIRT7, and first uncover that SIRT7 promotes thyroid tumorigenesis through phosphorylation and activation of Akt and p70S6K1 via the modulation of DBC1/SIRT1 axis.
Sirtuin 7 (SIRT7) is an NAD+-dependent deacetylase/deacylase, and is involved in a variety of biological processes relevant to the transcription of rRNA, the DNA damage response, tumorigenesis, and metabolism.
Mammalian SIRT7 is a member of the sirtuin family that regulates multiple biological processes including genome stability, metabolic pathways, stress responses, and tumorigenesis.
