Our comprehensive evaluation of various classical and novel autoantibody biomarkers including Ro52/TRIM21, anti-p53, anti-KLHL-12 and anti-HK-1 were not significantly associated with PBC-AIH OS.
Seventy eight anti-Ro52-positive pathological controls, including 20 patients with SjS, 28 patients with SLE, 15 patients with dermatomyositis (DM), and 15 patients with primary biliary cholangitis (PBC), and 20 anti-Ro52-negative healthy individuals as normal controls were also tested.
However, there was a correlation between the prevalence of polyneuropathy (PNP) and antinuclear antibodies (ANA) as well as anti-Ro/SS-A positivity and there was an inverse relationship between the presence of anti-Ro/SS-A antibodies and primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC).
