Results- Stroke outcome was comparable in ApoE<sup>-/-</sup> Fn-EDA <sup>fl/fl</sup> Tie2 <sup>Cre</sup> and control ApoE<sup>-/-</sup> Fn-EDA <sup>fl/fl</sup> mice suggesting endothelial Fn-EDA does not contribute to stroke.
Western blot analysis revealed that, 7 days after the stroke, the levels of PKM2 and phosphorylated STAT3 and the expression of angiogenic factors VEGF, Ang-1, and Tie-2 in the peri-infarct region were significantly increased in the rPKM2 treatment group compared with those of the stroke vehicle group.
In conclusion, enhanced expression of Ang1 and Tie2 in ischemic brain after BMSCs-CM treatment of stroke may contribute to the improved functional recovery after stroke in type 2 diabetic rats.
In the present study, we investigated the relationship between exercise and the expression of Ang-1, Ang-2, and Tie-2 receptor tyrosine kinase in the brain using a rat model of stroke, with right middle cerebral artery occluded (MCAO).
Five polymorphisms had significant influence (P < .05): SNPs in the ANXA2, TGFBR3, and TEK genes were associated with increased stroke risk, whereas α-thalassemia and a SNP in the ADCY9 gene were linked with decreased stroke risk.
