Univariate as well as multivariate COX analysis indicated that TINAG expression and pathologic metastasis can serve as the independent prognostic factor for overall survival of HCC.
Logistic regression and COX regression analyses revealed that extracranial metastasis, TNM stage, N stage and miR-330 expression were factors that influenced both radiation sensitivity and individual prognostic factors in patients with BM from LC.
Therefore, patients with overexpressed IMP3 had a poorer prognosis (P<0.01); COX regression analysis revealed that the overexpression of IMP3, the tumor grade, tumor size and metastasis of GEP-NEN were each associated with the clinical outcomes.
Additional analyses using a COX regression model showed that the S836S variant was independently associated with metastatic disease (hazard ratio 2.82 (95% confidence interval 1.51-5.26), P=0.001).
COX regression analysis indicated that low expression of CIAPIN1, cancer stage of > pT1, distant organ metastasis (pM1), regional lymph node metastasis (> pN1) and local recurrence (yes) were independent, poor prognostic factors of CRC (P = 0.012, P = 0.032, P <0.001, P <0.001, P <0.001 respectively).
Taken together, these results indicate that non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs suppress MMP-2 expression via repression of transcription and support the notion that COX inhibitors may be useful in inhibition and/or prevention of metastasis.
