MYD88 p.L265P and CD79Bp.Y196C/H mutations were analyzed in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) patients whose tumor samples were available (N = 29).
In particular, we identified significant targets related to tumor metabolism (Hexokinase 3), microenvironment (IDO1, CXCL13), cancer cells proliferation, migration and invasion (S100 proteins) or BCR signaling pathway (CD79B).
Somatic mutations of B-cell function genes were further screened on 275 (71 non-CR and 204 CR) cases with available tumor samples by targeted sequencing, including genes involved in B-cell receptors (BCRs) pathway (CARD11, LYN, CD79A, and CD79B), Toll-like receptors (TLRs) pathway (MYD88), and tumor necrotic factor receptor (TNFR) pathway (TRAF2 and TNFAIP3).
In addition, CD79a and CD79b antibodies are useful markers in the diagnosis of precursor B-acute lymphoblastic leukemia (pre-B-ALL) because many of these tumors are negative for other B-cell markers, such as CD20 and CD45RA.
