To study the association of three common ABCB11 and ABCC2 polymorphisms (ABCB11: 1331T>C --> V444A; ABCC2: 3563T>A --> V1188E and 4544G>A --> C1515Y) with intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (ICP) and contraceptive-induced cholestasis (CIC).
In univariate analysis, rs2002042 and rs3740066 were significantly associated with ICP (p < 0.04 and 0.01, respectively) but after multiple testing correction, only rs3740066 remained significantly associated with disease status (p < 0.03).
