Our data suggested that GC and GG/GC of rs4376531 contributed to a decreased risk of AS while CC genotype, interacting with diabetes, increased the stroke risk in Han Chinese population.
This study was carried out to assay the frequency of genotypes and alleles of SNP rs4376531 in ARHGEF10 in patients with ischemic stroke and healthy controls using the polymerase chain reaction and the restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) technique.
A population-based cohort study revealed the subjects with rs4376531 CC or CG to increase the incidence of ischemic stroke (P = 0.033, hazard ratio = 1.79, 95% CI = 1.05-3.04).
Our data suggested that GC and GG/GC of rs4376531 contributed to a decreased risk of AS while CC genotype, interacting with diabetes, increased the stroke risk in Han Chinese population.
