Determination of P-glycoprotein, MDR-related protein 1, breast cancer resistance protein, and lung-resistance protein expression in leukemic stem cells of acute myeloid leukemia.
We determined mRNA levels of BCRP, LRP, MRP1, MRP2, and MDR1 in 59 primary breast tumor specimens of patients who received chemotherapy as first-line systemic treatment after diagnosis of advanced disease.
The relative expression of the drug-efflux pumps P-gp, MRP, LRP, and BCRP was evaluated by mean fluorescence index (MFI) and the Kolmogorov-Smirnov analysis (D values) in five leukemic subpopulations: CD34+CD38-CD123+ (LSCs), CD34+CD38+CD123-, CD34+CD38+CD123+, CD34+CD38+CD123-, and CD34- mature cells in 26 bone marrow samples of CD34+ AML cases.
The positive rates of MRP1 (84.6% versus 21.9%), MRP2 (100% versus 43.8%) and MRP6 (61.5% versus 15.6%) were significantly higher in hepatoid than in control adenocarcinoma.
Genetic susceptibility of lung cancer associated with common variants in the 3' untranslated regions of the adenosine triphosphate-binding cassette B1 (ABCB1) and ABCC1 candidate transporter genes for carcinogen export.
Multidrug resistance proteins do not predict benefit of adjuvant chemotherapy in patients with completely resected non-small cell lung cancer: International Adjuvant Lung Cancer Trial Biologic Program.
Multidrug resistance markers P-glycoprotein, multidrug resistance protein 1, and lung resistance protein in non-small cell lung cancer: prognostic implications.
Here, we show that a semisynthetic nontoxic tubulin-binding agent, 9-bromonoscapine (EM011), effectively inhibits growth and regresses multidrug resistance-associated protein (MRP)-overexpressing teniposide-resistant T-cell lymphoma xenografts and prolongs longevity.
Here, we report on a large Italian family affected by pseudoxanthoma elasticum for which linkage analysis had pointed to a region encompassing markers D16S3069-D16S405-D16S3103; hemizygosity of marker D16S405 allowed us to detect a submicroscopic deletion of at least 900 kb involving ABCC6, ABCC1, and MYH11.
