Our findings suggest that increased SBP, DBP and resting HR as well as increased insulin and resistin plasma levels and decreased adiponectin plasma levels pre-exist in young healthy offspring with positive family history for essential hypertension.
Our study aimed to explore the influence of acute hyperinsulinaemia and acutely induced ARB on resistin and adiponectin concentrations and expressions in healthy subjects.
After 7 days of elevated resistin levels at a supraphysiological concentration, the animals displayed glucose intolerance and hyperinsulinemia during glucose tolerance tests, and insulin tolerance tests demonstrated an impaired glucose-lowering effect of insulin.
