This study suggested that miR‑497 could serve as a tumor suppressor and a potential early diagnostic marker of GC by targeting Raf-1 proto-oncogene, serine/threonine kinase (RAF1).
Taken together, our results identify a crucial tumor suppressive role of miR-497 in the progression of GC and suggest that miR-497 might be an anticancer therapeutic target for GC patients.
